Christie B Show Unravels Real Women With Real Issues
Ordinary women with extraordinary stories is the theme of a new TV series - The Christie B Show – currently being aired in Australia and New Zealand from February 2007.
The host and executive producer Christie Buckingham was inspired to produce a program featuring real women and real issues and to encourage them to live their lives with hope.
The Christie B Show currently on the Australian Christian Channel and Shine TV in New Zealand, features 13 episodes predominately women from diverse backgrounds who have unique stories to share. Each show runs for 30 minutes.
The episodes explore issues such as society’s view of female images, child sexual abuse, stigmas associated with mental health, juggling family and work demands, as well as incorporating hot tips from experts in the field.
Gleaning from her 20-year experience as a senior minister at Bayside Church in Melbourne, and as a wife and mother, Christie understands the needs and pressures women face to stay on top of it all.
‘The program’s focus on personal experience is designed to open up discussion. We all have a lot more in common with each other than we realise and the program aims to connect people through sharing those experiences,” Christie said.
“There’s a desire to bring hope to women to be all they can be and to overcome what life may throw at them.”
Some guests on the Show include: Real Beauty Editor Merelyn Carter, photographer Ken Duncan, Family Challenge clinical psychologist Noeleen Sonderegger and Kylie Carlson from The Wedding Bootcamp.
The Show features regular experts including Words of Wisdom from renowned international motivational speaker Lisa McInnes-Smith; all you need to Power On in health and fitness with Craig Harper (owner of Australia’s premiere personal training organisation); and how to be the perfect host with hospitality expert Wendy Hunsaker.
