hi Ashley Christie B here I am so excited that you have joined the site. I love South Africa and its people. I feel like going just now (not now now!) and making myself a nice cup of five roses and chatting to you. I also note you are originally from Zimbabwe...some of my greatest friends are from that area...you are amazing people with great back bone...you can get through just about anything! I see that some of the wonderful girls online have given you some good advice and I would agree. you are always welcome here. i too live along way away from my parents and even though they are always there for me I try not to worry them too much about my day to day challenges...I keep that for my girlfriends.I will certainly be thinking of you and praying for you both as you have been through quite an ordeal. my husband was in a headon collision in which people died and that was what started him on his spiritual journey to faith. anger is an interesting and challenging emotion..one which we often try to surpress...even though it is difficult it is often best to talk it out or write it out...if we keep it in for too long it becomes very negative and often passive aggressive with us flinging off at even unrelated things..if you can encourage you husband to talk...really talk to someone who will not judge him it will make an enormous difference. will be thinking of you...talk soon..Christie B

We are a fun loving country. Have you ever been here? Any of you?

Wow, do you buy it there? It is great tea hey. Have you tried Joko gold yet? You must see the TV ad for it. It is a real girl power ad. A guy goes to the airport and he is speaking to the lady that works at the desk. He is trying to get onto a plane and she is trying to tell him that she is unable to help him. He then says "Do you know who I am?" She starts to announce on the inercome, (the guy get a snug grin on his face, thinking that he is getting his way. Hee... hee.. she says "there is a man here who doesn't know who he is and if there is anyone who is knows who is to please come and help him" Brilliant girl power.

That is my home town. I have so much love for it. It is in my blood. It just sadens me how it has turned out. Which is the reason why we left. Oneday I'd love to go back there to show my family where my heart is.

I am fortunate to have many friends at my church who are always there for me to guide and comfort me. They are my family away from family.

I know that all he is shorting is God in his life. I just pray for the day for he to realise that. He needs alot of prayer and healing.
will be thinking of you...talk soon..Christie B
I thank you all for making me feel so comfortable and welcome. I hope that I can be a great friend for many here.

Hi Ashley, nice to meet you - although I know you've been around here for a month or so now. I trust and hope that the kind messages and good wishes (not to forget the prayers) of everyone has made this past month a much better one for you.
I've not been to South Africa but I know Christie has. And my own daughter (Christine) has recently come back from there, after spending 5 weeks in East London riding horses every day. She loved it. Another daughter of mine and her girlfriend spent New Year's break there and most of January and went on a tour and came back with hundreds of fantastic photos. Sounds like a really wonderful place to visit and behold.
I'm so pleased you have a church to go to as there will be many wonderful and wise women there I'm sure to whom you can turn for mentoring and guidance, just as we're taught in both Proverbs 31 and in Titus 2:3-5.
Hang around here long enough and you'll get some great guidance and friendship too! Bless you!
