Yes, I am cherishing every moment with my wife and family. The great thing about my wife and I is that we are also best friends as well as husband and wife. Kater, it sounds like you've had a difficult time with a "boo-surprise" (ie. not a good one). Reading between the lines it sounds terrible.

Hi Kater, nice to meet you. You sound like you have had a
really bad experience. Do you want to talk about it, we may
be able to help. When my last relationship broke up about
3 years ago, yes I went through hell, but as I focused on
what was really important, eg. my faith that Jesus knew what
I was feeling and He helped me through it, I was able to
overcome the devastation and have been through the recovery
process over the last 3 years. I have learned through the
experience and have come out stronger than ever. I learned
not to become bitter, and that there really is love out
there, but the timing and person has to be right, and that
comes in Gods timing and with Gods choosing, we just have
to be patient and wait. There is always hope for the
future. Just thought I would share that with you. Look

I have been reading these posts, and I am so glad I am not alone in my experiences, and that there is hope!!! I too have had relationships end without warning (I think it is often with warning signs that we choose not to see??) I thought that there was no such thing as 'happy ever after'... I'm so glad to know that with God's help, it is a possibility!!

i'm losing my grip on that slice of heaven ...

it's a painful journey - one i never thought i'd travel. it's made worse by the fact that, in hindsight, i can now clearly see where all the warning signs had been - and that each sign had been an opportunity to correct things and strengthen and grow my marriage.

but now i'm the biggest idiot that i know of.

i'm struggling to comprehend whether or not the grief i'm feeling now is just that i'm feeling bad about the things i have and haven't done, or that i'm sincerely genuine about wanting to turn it all around.

this is underscored more by the fact that i may be running the course far, far too late to make a difference now.

i envy you, whizzbang. i wish i had that simple wisdom and foresight and courage from day one of my marriage.

The closest thing to heaven here on earth I personally think is being with someone extra special that you truly love. Being in their arms and spending time with them- where nothing feels better than being there at that moment of time and you can die happy at that moment and not have any regrets of life.
