I've just lost 7Kg! 2007/06/05 10:10
I'm VERY EXCITED! I've just lost 7Kg and I feel heaps better.

It was simple to do but really hard at the same time. All I did was not have snacks and make sure that I had 3 sensibly sized balanced meals. I lost about 1Kg per week on average. BTW - this includes having pizza on Friday nights....just don't gorge yourself.....you've got to enjoy life as well.

I hate those crazy diets which have you transform into a bunny rabit by only allowing you to eat carrots or something crazy like that. I work on the philosophy that if you put less in your mouth you're bound to lose weight sometime LOL!

I work from the home and the snacks issue was really important...that was the hard part. I used to find myself staring at the pantry for some strange reason....it was crazy.

Well done bro, excellent effort. The challenge now is not to put it back
on hey. The only time I have ever put on weight was when I was pregnant,
and I lost it really quickly. If anything I dont eat enough especially
when I get busy or I am buried in an assignment for Uni. My daughter and
I do use toning balls and have an exercise routine that we try to do daily
just in the loungeroom. I walk miles at work so I get heaps of exercise,
I should get one of those pedometer things that count how many steps you
do. I think I would be shocked. Keep up the good work.

I know the feeling - working at home and putting on weight. I put on 20kg in the first 10 years of working at home and woke up one day and wondered 'how did that happen?' It was the snacking of course and for me chocolate is the biggest culprit. Then someone we saw at church was showing visible signs of losing weight - this was in 1995. My husband asked him how he did it and the man answered 'weight watchers'. My immediate thought was I always thought that was for 'fatties' and I wasn't ready to admit I was in that dept too. But after that decided to go and check it out and discovered all these 'skinnies' instead. The only fatties around are all the new kids on the block - the rest have been learning to eat properly and get some exercise. Oh, and drink lots of water as that helps purify your body system and I had no idea how big a part water really plays in our health.

Well, in my first 8 months I lost 14 kgs and was stoked about that. I did join a gym but didn't like the company that was around that early in the morning and wasn't interested in uninvited attention (from men) so my husband and I set up a gym at home and I use that. We have a treadmill and bike I use - not every day but a few times a week. We also have a rowing machine which hubby uses from time to time. But the main contributor has been the change in diet - I had been frying lots of stuff in oil and cooking foods that had large fat content. Now I cook a lot more vegetables, and watch the content of what I cook. My family commented on the lovely meals and why didn't I do this ages ago? We've all benefitted.

anorexia is a condition where you believe yoursef to be overweight, you wont want to eat and starve yourself to a dangerous weight.

takin pills that make u lose weight isnt the same as havin the mental condition called Anorexia.

you may lose weight yes but make sure u eat a stable diet and eat a set times in the day, you may not feel hungry but try to eat anyway...they effect ur metabolism and make u not want food, so eat anyway.

Get the doc who gave u the pills to give u a check up if u are concerned, ask wat u shud be eating to keep healthy.
